Writing & Publishing

I am experienced with writing, editing, and managing complex, multi-step, collaborative projects. 

​

In my position as a Communications Program Assistant with the MSU Center for Community Engaged Learning, I was responsible for writing, editing, and collecting photos for the annual Community-Engaged Learning Index Report. Stay tuned to see how I managed this long-term project and presented exceptional results.

Nonprofit Marketing

I prioritize brand recognizability, user experience, and consistency in my design and marketing work.

For my Writing in the Public Interest class, I was tasked with fixing five examples of ineffective nonprofit marketing deliverables. See how I strengthened my skills in design and marketing and became better at implementing audience-centric communications through this project.

Style Guide and Branding

I understand the importance of consistent, professional, and recognizable branding in both internal and external communications.

For my position as Communications Intern with Michigan State University's Center for Gender in Global Context (GenCen), I decided to take on the additional task of writing, designing, and presenting a Style Guide for the department. See how I demonstrated skill in design and technical writing and contributed to more consistent, accessible communications through this project.

I establish myself as a team leader in communications projects, ensuring that long-term collaborative work results in superior deliverables.

For my Writing in the Public Interest class, my team was given the task of helping the American Diabetes Association (ADA) more effectively reach their audiences—including participants, supporters, and influencers—with my individual focus being their Instagram account. See how I improved my design and nonprofit marketing skills and learned the importance of a clear communications strategy through this project.
